Notebook Cover and a New Machine

I'm enjoying my new Juki TL2010Q! It worked perfectly right out of the box. The tension was perfect. I'm loving the extra speed and the auto thread cutter. I didn't even know that I needed that extra speed! My husband was actually a little worried when I put the pedal to the floor. Don't worry, I won't be sewing at 1500 spm all the time.

I whipped up my first project with the Juki, a notebook cover for Ginger #1's teacher.

Here is the interior with Ginger's artwork. I'll be buying a fresh notebook for Ginger #1's teacher.

This Monday, I will be participating in the Sew Mama Sew Give Away Day. Yay, I'm so excited! So, mark your calendars and come back on Monday!

Also, don't forget to vote for my blocks at accuquilt.comYou can vote as many times as you like, and the contest continues through the end of May. Thank you for taking the time to vote.

Happy Stitching,

  1. Gorgeous zebra fabric - I love the way you paired it with the orange - so vibrant and cheerful!

  2. Lucky teacher! I love the bright orange, nice and cheerful to keep her smiling after she's marked her hundredth book of the week!

  3. What a cute notebook! Did you use a pattern for it? I especially love that zebra fabric. It looks so striking on the cover!

  4. I love the pocket on your notebook cover. And a new machine is super exciting!

  5. I would love to see a picture of your new machine! :) I may want to upgrade soon. LOL.. the hubs doesn't know it yet.. because I just bought my first ever sewing machine a year ago. Taught myself how to sew and make quilts. I think I have improved so much. cute little notebook too..
