A New Mini Quilt And A Giveaway

I have been busy this week with this sweet mini quilt... There are 160 flying geese there! It's a swarm of geese!

The Fat Quarter Shop is hosting a March Minis Challenge (play-on March Madness). They are challenging everyone to create and share their mini quilt projects with us ALL March long starting MARCH 9th – MARCH 31st on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram using #marchminis. Oh and they are having the SMALLEST GIVEAWAY ever too? Technically, the giveaway is not small at all, but it is filled with their favorite small things including patterns, notions, and precuts.

Giveaway From Pile O' Fabric

The prints include XOXO in Night Ow, Trophy in Teal, Deco Petal in Turquoise, Sealing Wax in Amethyst, Zig Zig in Shell, and Branches in Ash.
The solids include Kona Cotton in Nautical, Baby Blue, Ice Frappe, Cerise, Primrose, and Snow.

I made a new (and free!) foundation paper pieced pattern that will coordinate beautifully with these fabrics.  The pattern can be downloaded from my Craftsy Pattern Shop.  This pattern will be free through the holidays.  So go get it!

Blogiversary And Giveaway

Today is my first blogiversary, and there is no better way to celebrate than to have a giveaway! This week, I am giving away eight fat quarters of Art Gallery Fabrics Arizona line by April Rhodes. Also, you will need some pretty navy Aurifil thread!

Last week, I introduced my first pattern, Sand Drift. I think I need to giveaway a pattern to the lucky winner as well.

I have been working all summer with the Arizona line. I can't complain too much about that. I love that fabric line, but it nice to see the Sand Drift block in some new colors!


For this block, I used AGF Spring Harvest Sweet As Honey by Bonnie Christine in Rooted in Midnight, Free Spirit Aviary 2 by Joel Dewberry in Vintage Yellow Woodgrain, and Michael Miller Waterfront Park by Violet Craft in Flight in White. I also used Kona Cotton solids in berry and curry.

Giveaway Day

It's Giveaway Day over at Sew Mama Sew! Thank you for visiting Good Golly Ginger! My giveaway is five lovely fat quarters of Promenade by Riley Blake.



The weather is cold and frosty, but this fabric brings warm thoughts of spring. Enjoy! What would you make with this fabric? Some more fat quarters of Promenade are waiting to be made into a quilt this spring. I'm leaning toward the Double Crossed Quilt Pattern by Amy Smart. I love the x's and o's. Any other suggestions?
