Fun Foundation Paper Piecing

Today I discovered the fun of foundation paper piecing. Yes! It is fun, and the results, oh...the results. I have perfect points. My points are never ever perfect. My seams are never ever matched. But with foundation paper piecing, points are perfect, and seams are matched. Look-for-yourself!

Amazing! To me, anyway.

The Square-in-Square pattern perfectly frames the frogs and bumble bees of Briar Rose by Heather Ross. The charm pack is perfect for this project. I need to get more of the strawberry print for sashing and backing, and this will make a lovely throw pillow.

Speaking of bumble bees, these bees are enjoying the flowering artichokes. It's hard to see in this picture, but they are rolling around in flowers. They didn't care that I was snapping a picture.

Have a wonderful weekend!
